Louis Vuitton “Malle Mars” Apollo 11 Commemoration Trunk
In commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s first lunar landing, which takes place on Jul 20th, Louis Vuitton has designed a custom-made “Malle Mars” trunk. The robotic, space age-looking piece opens in multiple places, unveiling a variety of compartments and drawers, fully equipped to carry various essential items.
The trunk will be on display this coming Monday, at the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History, being exhibited with other NASA memorabilia. History-making astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell and Sally Ride will be in attendance along with Louis Vuitton North America president and chief executive officer Daniel Lalonde.
Nike Sportswear Classic Cortez Leather Green Spark & Varsity Red
Nike Sportswear’s latest Cortez offering is seen here with the iconic running shoe making the jump from its hybrid Flywire and nylon styles seen earlier this year to a simple leather upper. The bulbous upper with the white leather comes in two designs, a white/black Swoosh and a white/red Swoosh. Within the midsole is a small contrasting stripe. Both are available now at Kix-Files.
Fucked Up x Mishka “Eye Fucked Up New York” T-shirt
Toronto hardcore band Fucked Up’s lead singer Damian “Pink Eyes” Abraham teams up with Mishka on the release of the “Eye Fucked Up New York” shirt which embodies a special relationship amongst the two parties and the city of New York. A spin on the ever-popular Milton Glasser “I Love New York” slogan, the t-shirt carefully exchanges the traditional elements for something more in-tune reflective of both entities. For Damian Abraham, New York was the place which he feels (arguably) pioneered punk as well as the location of their record label and a 12 hour show they performed in the past. The t-shirt will release initially at The Pool Parties’ on July 12th, and then in-store and online the following Monday
URSUS BAPE 2009 Fall/Winter Collection by Tetsu Nishiyama
Tetsu Nishiyama (Tet) of WTAPS kicks off the 2009 Fall/Winter Collection as Chief Designer for the new URSUS BAPE line. The line is an extension of the collaboration t-shirts that were available online only through the Japanese website. Bape’s General logo has been modified into a skull, which makes up the motif of the URSUS logo. The line will feature a combination of dark and pop-like designs with a strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Within URSUS BAPE will be a wide array of apparel, accessories, and shoes, all featuring authentic work, military, and outdoors-inspired pieces. Further pieces from URSUS will be offered in the coming months, so stay tuned.

Nike Free Hybrid Boot Supreme
Certainly one of the nicer silhouettes from Nike’s most recent Supreme pack, the Free Hybrid Boot sees a fashionista makeup with a new beige/white colorway. Transforming the usually performance-driven sneaker is a wealth of brogue style detailing, tastefully distributed throughout the entire upper and contrasted beautifully with a white midsole. The sneakers can be purchased through select Nike retailers, including atmos Japan.
