Capsule Tradeshow New York
Capsule brings their world class tradeshow to New York City after a successful recent launch in Paris. Here we present an exclusive look into the second part of Vans’ upcoming East vs. West Pack, which will feature design efforts from Los Angeles-based Crooks & Castles and New York natives Acapulco Gold. This latest installment finds AG working on a pair of the newly developed Moda Hi model, fusing the classic SK8-Hi and more fashion-forward Mountain Edition Hi. The kicks boast a mix of suede and leather uppers on a clean white/green colorway, with various Acapulco Gold details throughout. A release is scheduled for March 2010.
MadeMe 2009 Fall/Winter “Mes Amies” Preview
After two sold out seasons and overwhelming requests for MadeMe’s signature leather jackets, MadeMe creator and designer Erin Magee is giving fashion fans a chance to pre-order and preview eye-catching pieces from the Fall/Winter 2009 collection with “Mes Amies.”
Erin teamed up with esteemed photographer Brooke Nipar to capture the essence of the MadeMe brand in “Mes Amies,” meaning “my friends” in French. First conceptualizing the project, the designer then brought on friends Rose Garcia (stylist, DJ, blogger) and Cedric Haughton (Third Floor New York) to assist in the direction of the shoot. To exhibit a variety of pieces from Erin’s past and current collections, she enlisted the help of her best friends, singers Nicole and Natalie of Nina Sky, and some of Los Angeles’ and New York City’s most talked about creative personalities.
