Clipse feat. Pharrell – I’m Good (Video)

When The Clipse split with their long time label, Jive, and the super producers who have provided them with the signature electronic minimalism, The Neptunes, many fans had mixed feelings. On one hand the listeners will finally get to hear Pusha and Malice’s classic coke metaphors over beats from the likes of Kanye West, Rick Rubin and more. On the other hand, the chemistry between Pharrell and the custom thump the Neptunes gave the duo through two classic albums would no longer exist. It now appears that the fans can have it both ways. The Clipse’s upcoming album Till The Casket Drops will not only have production from Neptunes, the lead off single “I’m Good” features Skateboard P crooning over the chorus as the Thorton brothers do what they do best. The feel good song is surprisingly free of many coke lines as the Virgina boys skillfully put together a ode to flossing.

Gucci Icon: Temporary Pop-Up Sneaker Stores

In hopes of offering a different approach to retail, Gucci will launch their latest pop-up shop style endeavor with their Gucci Icon-Temporary project. Six to seven marquee “tastemaker” events will play host to 2-3 week long pop-up shop including Art Basel Miami and Crosby Street, New York. In addition to sneakers and footwear from the in-line Gucci collection, DJ and music-maker Mark Ronson has designed a special capsule of sneakers with items releasing at each of the different locations. A full press release can be seen below.

NEW YORK — Gucci is hoping its temporary stores leave a lasting impression.

Like other luxury retailers in the recession, Gucci is looking for high-impact, lower-cost methods of generating interest in the brand, especially among style leaders who may not be moved by conventional forms of advertising.

Gucci Icon-Temporary is that method. The flash sneaker store will touch down in six or seven locations around the world where tastemakers gather, such as Art Basil Miami Beach, staying open for two or three weeks in each spot. The first stop on the tour will be Crosby Street in SoHo on Oct. 23. Other stops will include London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Gucci Icon-Temporary units will feature 18 exclusive sneaker styles — 16 for men and two for women. Incorporating classic Gucci design elements such as the GG logo and a stylized version of the Gucci red-and-green web detail, each shoe has an embroidered “Limited Edition” label inside and a silver or gold metal dog tag hanging from the laces. Leather tags on shoe laces can be customized and embossed with a shopper’s initials.

In addition to the Limited Edition shoes, Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, collaborated with DJ, music producer and sneaker enthusiast Mark Ronson on the design of Gucci Ronson sneakers. A new Gucci Ronson version will be introduced at every leg of the itinerant project. Icon-Temporary sneakers are priced from $500 to $1,400, and Gucci Ronson shoes, $500 to $600.

ALL MOST FORGOT!!!!!

Nike Sportswear “Bo Jackson” Blazer High

Air Jordan 60+ x Laney High School

The first Air Jordan 60+ was pictured on the feet of Carmelo Anthony’s high school alma mater, Oak Hill Academy. It seems natural then, to take the model that celebrates Jordan’s most prolific scoring outputs back to the place where his competitive fire was first lit. Modelled on the Air Jordan V Retro, that also celebrated Laney High School, using a white, blue and yellow palette which only serves to enhance the retro feel. They should be available soon at select Jordan retailers soon.

Air Jordan Spizike Boot

The Spizike Boot features an upper very closely modeled on the original Spizike, reworked with a reinforced ‘boot body’ and midsole. Maintaining some of the key Jordan fusion elements from original sneakers, such as the triangular lace holders (from the Jordan 4), the lace lock and mesh (from the Jordan 5), and the tongue of the (Jordan 6). The upper mixes nubuck and other leathers, with pieces textured to imitate the now-classic elephant print. The outsole is blue with light speckling, a common theme among the Jordan fusion series. The heel sports the likeness of Spike Lee’s iconic character “Mars Blackmon”, most well-known in the sneaker world for being the pitch-man for Air Jordan commercials in the early 90’s. This Flint-grey/Cherrywood/Nightshade colourway is set to drop at House of Hoops stores in December.
