80’s Icons to the Present: Bobby Hundreds of The Hundreds

If you’re a regular follower to The Hundreds website, you will have noticed a plethora of updates pertaining to Bobby Hundreds’ visit to the DeLorean Motor Co.’s headquarters. Through a myriad of stock-piled parts and pieces and deconstructed, life-less chassis; A rare look into the behind the scenes of an automotive icon was unveiled for all to see. The DeLorean and its lone model the DMC-12 never quite surmounted its on-screen success and the ability to venture through time like in the Back to the Future franchise, yet many years after the fact, the car’s ability to captivate still remains. Given the car’s relevancy in the 1980’s, the DMC-12 fits very much into the theme of The Hundreds. Yet how would one translate automotive design into graphic form for a t-shirt and New Era fitted cap? To offer a run-down of this most recent collaboration, Bobby Hundreds spoke with us regarding not only the project itself but some of his other thoughts regarding how far along The Hundreds has come in such a short period of time.

adidas Originals Consortium City Series Part 3

The adidas Originals Consortium City Series rolls out its third batch of releases. The pack’s underlying theme pairs a particular retro adidas model named after cities from around the world with a shop or retailer found within that city itself. Part 3 includes Livestock and the Toronto, VA and the Tokio, colette and the Paris and Crooked Tongues with the London. For more details on each shoe, refer below.

LIVESTOCK ADIDAS TORONTO
The Dellinger web aided running legend, recognisable for that angular panelling and stealthy shape gets a lethal-looking redux courtesy of Toronto’s Livestock. Confining the blast of red the original carried to a patent leather heel tab and the tongue’s underside, the rest of the upper is a darker, more rugged affair for all-weather wear.

Grey ripstop panelling, down to the toebox, leather and suede 3-Stripes, complemented by a reflective trim, and the replacement of ghilly lacing in favour of grey and blue D-rings for the top three lace holes, makes it look more intimidating than ever. Blue printed lettering highlighting both model and store alternately, grey-on-grey Dellinger webbing on the midsole, black and blue on the outsole and a pick of rounded hiker-style laces, or flats, plus a padded lining for comfort, indicates that the Livestock crew thought this project through to the tiniest detail, taking this runner well off the beaten track.

Kid Cudi “Pursuit of Happiness” Video Behind the Scenes
